Kindness Craftivity + Giveaway!

Happy Monday!  It's the start of a new week and for many, a day off!  Here in my neck of the woods in Kansas, we were prepared for a horrible ice storm this weekend.  In the end, it didn't amount to much, just a little freezing rain here and there.  Yesterday was my birthday, and fortunately the roads weren't slick, so I was able to get out for a few hours to myself without kids.  I had a free birthday drink at Starbucks and *maybe* cheated juuuuussssttttt a little on my 21-Day Fix with a super amazing Smoked Butterscotch Frappuccino.  :D  I'm back on track today, though!

Since many of you loved the free Making 10 Snow Globe craftivity I made last month, I wanted to make another type of craftivity.  I decided to create an activity based on kindness, and I came up with this cute little craft!

Although I created this with Martin Luther King Jr. Day in mind, it would be adorable for Valentine's Day, too.  You could talk about how we show love to others by being kind and go from there!

The craft portion is pretty simple.  You can print the templates on paper for students to cut out and color, or you can have students trace the templates onto construction paper before cutting. Up to you!

I included four different writing page options, including two that just require a picture and no writing for younger students.  Then, there are the two options shown in the first image above where students can draw and write a sentence, or just write one or more ways they show kindness.

Also, I found this list of books that encourage kindness, and many of them would make a great introduction to this activity!

If you want to give this FREE activity a try, click on the picture below.

And to show some kindness to all of you, I'm giving away a $15 Starbucks gift card!  Enter using the Rafflecopter below.  The giveaway ends Sunday, 1/22/17. Good luck!
