Winner Wednesday! {Kindergarten Summer Review Packet}

Welcome to Winner Wednesday!  I'm so excited to be linking up with Jennifer from A Dab of Glue Will Do and Sara from Sara J Creations today.  I'm going to share some details about my best-selling resource with you today, and since it's Winner Wednesday, I'm giving away a copy!

Toward the end of my first year teaching kindergarten, I had a couple parents request a summer packet of activities for their child.  I'll admit that I panicked, because I had nothing ready to go!  I subsequently spent the next few evenings going through my teaching files, trying to put together some random worksheets.  It worked for that year, but I vowed "never again!"  Not only did it take a crazy amount of time to round up the worksheets, but I knew there were important skills missing, and quite frankly, it looked just as you'd expect: It looked like something I threw together last minute.  Not my finest teaching moment!

So, that summer, I spent hours and hours creating a summer review packet for the next school year.  I looked at our kindergarten standards and spent a few days just planning what needed to be included.  That way, I would be sure that I wasn't missing any critical skills.  I was so pleased with the result, and I got many compliments from parents!  That's when I decided to make it available to other teachers on Teachers Pay Teachers.

Although I recently updated the original kindergarten summer review packet, it remains one of my favorite resources!  It is jam-packed with 105 pages of essential skill practice, plus reading logs for June, July, and August.  Best of all, it requires absolutely no prep by you!  Let's face it - the end of the year is crazy enough as it is, am I right?  Simply make your copies, staple, and boom!  You're done!  It's also a good resource to use during the last few weeks of school when you just need something quick and easy, and it's also good for sub tubs, skill practice throughout the year, etc.

If you want to see even more information and look at the preview file (which includes a look at every page and a list of skills), click here.  You can enter to win your own copy below!

  1. Katie,
    This looks great! My summer reviews came about the same way - a parent asked and I was like oooh I better make something! Now I'm so glad I did. Such a great way to help prevent the summer slide. Thanks for linking up this month.
